BTC Reel
Heavy-duty process reel with dimensions according to DIN standards (46395/46397) or to customer requirements. The standard version is provided with double flanges reinforced by internal profiles and with high-thickness machined barrel. It is suitable for drawing processes at medium/high speed of ferrous and non ferrous wires, such as steel strips, welding wire and copper strips. It can be manufactured with appropriate reinforcements and drillings allowing the heat circulation which make it suitable for annealing processes. The flanges are available with standard diameters 760, 800, 1000 and 1250 mm, but intermediate or bigger flange diameters are available upon request. The BTC is provided with a robust structure and can be reinforced in the points which are more stressed by the pressure of the wound wire. The barrel and the external rim of the flanges are machined to obtain good values of eccentricity of the barrel and of the flanges with respect to the rotation axis of the reel. These features and the dynamic balancing make the reels BTC suitable for winding cycles at high operating speeds. The standard model is epoxy-painted on the external side of the flanges.
